Job Purpose:

Join Emirates as a Mechanic in the Structures Workshop to assist Aircraft Technicians and Licensed Aircraft Engineers in maintaining EK and third-party aircraft in compliance with GCAA regulations.

Job Outline:

Assist senior staff in essential activities such as aircraft fuel handling, wheels & brakes servicing, nitrogen recharging, and engine servicing.

Carry out basic support servicing and component replacements as instructed and supervised by Licensed Engineers.

Inspect equipment before use, report faults, and ensure proper maintenance of tools and systems.

Prioritize safety by taking precautions, monitoring the working area, and maintaining a clean and obstruction-free environment.

Clean aircraft/engine parts according to approved manual specifications.

Assist during pushback operations to ensure efficiency and safety.

Support Senior Mechanics/Aircraft Engineers in snag rectification and component changes, ensuring operational readiness and preventing delayed departures.

Qualifications & Experience:

Vocational/National/Higher National Diploma (12+2 or equivalent) or Apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electronic, Avionics, or Aeronautical Engineering.

Ability to handle hazardous chemicals, read measuring devices, and hold a valid Airport Driving Permit if required.

Adequate knowledge in aircraft maintenance practices and full awareness of safety procedures.

Knowledge of routine servicing ground equipment and the ability to identify and report unserviceability.

Desirable: Knowledge of Paint Restoration/Artistic Painting.

Safety Sensitive Role:

Working at height, exposure to hazardous energy systems, heavy lifting, working with motorized mobile equipment, work in confined spaces, contact with contaminations materials, contact with dangerous goods, work in an extremely noisy environment, work in heat, working with pressurized substances, exposure to fixed protruding sharp objects, exposure to contact with moving/falling objects, Airport Driving Permit, driving a vibrating equipment.
