Job Purpose:

As an Aircraft Technician in the Structures Workshop (Machinist) at Emirates, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing aircraft components in accordance with company procedures and regulations. Working as part of a skilled team under the guidance of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you will contribute to the overall safety and efficiency of our fleet.

Job Outline:

Perform routine aircraft, engine, and component servicing/maintenance, ensuring compliance with manufacturers' procedures and safety protocols.

Execute approved structural repairs and replacements as per the Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC), and other relevant documentation.

Assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers in troubleshooting, defect rectifications, and modifications as directed.

Promote and uphold a safety culture, minimizing accidents, and reporting deficiencies promptly.

Maintain knowledge of airport safety regulations and hold/maintain an Airport Driving Permit.

Collaborate with supervisors to manage performance, participate in development plans, and stay compliant with training requirements.

Ensure timely attendance to allocated tasks, communicate defects to the Licensed Aircraft Engineer, and contribute to efficient shift handovers.

Utilize knowledge and experience to assist in resource allocation using relevant systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

Vocational/National Diploma/Higher National Diploma (12+2 or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electronic, Avionics, or Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent training.

5+ years of post-basic training experience in an Aircraft Maintenance environment or 5 years of experience in Structures or Component Maintenance for the applicable workshop.

Safety Sensitive Role:

Exposure to hazardous energy systems, heavy lifting, work in confined spaces, contact with contaminations materials, dangerous goods, noisy environments, work in heat, working with pressurized substances, exposure to fixed protruding sharp objects, contact with moving/falling objects, and possession of an Airport Driving Permit.
