Job Description:
Job Purpose:
As an Aircraft Technician at Emirates, your main responsibility will be to carry out maintenance tasks on Emirates and third-party aircraft components in strict adherence to company procedures and regulations. You will work collaboratively as part of a team under the guidance of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer within your trade or cross-trade discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine aircraft, engine, and component servicing and maintenance, following manufacturers' procedures and safety guidelines for fluid replenishment, aircraft refueling, and servicing.
Replace aircraft components and perform other maintenance tasks as instructed by your immediate supervisor, including the interpretation of technical manuals and documentation.
Assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers in troubleshooting, defect rectifications, and modifications while following job card instructions.
Play an active role in creating a safety culture, promoting accident prevention, and maintaining clean and safe work areas.
Keep up-to-date with airport safety regulations, including holding and maintaining an Airport Driving Permit.
Manage your performance through performance management processes, including development plans, training, and development requirements.
Ensure prompt attendance to all assigned tasks, communicate defects to the Licensed Aircraft Engineer, and maintain vigilance in ensuring operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
Vocational or Diploma (12+2 or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electronic, Avionics, or Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent training with a reputable airline or approved maintenance organization.
5+ years of experience post basic training in an Aircraft Maintenance environment or 5 years of experience in Structures or Component Maintenance for applicable workshop.
Details of Safety Sensitive Role:
The role may involve working at height, exposure to hazardous energy systems, heavy lifting, working in areas with motorized mobile equipment, and other potentially hazardous conditions.
It may require contact with dangerous goods, work in confined spaces, and working in noisy and hot environments.
An Airport Driving Permit is necessary for the role.
