Job Details Of Mechanic Post: 

Repair wings, brakes, electrical systems, and other aircraft components. Replace defective parts, using hand tools or power tools. Examine replacement aircraft parts for defects. Read maintenance manuals to identify repair procedures.

Job Profile: 

Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance tasks. Reports directly to the supervisor for all aspects of aircraft, facility, tool and equipment and administrative requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience: 

Qualification: 

1. FAA airframe and powerplant certificate or industry equivalent.
2. High school diploma graduation from military or commercial aircraft maintenance or airframe repair school or course preferred 
3. Completion of military or commercial aviation corrosion prevention course preferred 

Experience: 

• Minimum of 5 years aviation maintenance
• Minimum of 3 years mechanic on aircraft type 
• Must have thorough knowledge in the use of common tools, special tools, test equipment and aviation ground support equipment used in performing maintenance on the relevant aircraft 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Assist the maintenance supervisor to accomplish the company's mission 
• Performs inspection, servicing, repair of aircraft and equipment IAW applicable technical publications and local policies and procedures
• Assist in ensuring aircraft and equipment are maintained in a high state of mission readiness 
• Impart the knowledge of duties and responsibilities in such a manner to permit assimilation of the customer's trainees; the final aim being to enable the customer's technicians to attain gradual full capacity to carry out maintenance 
• Complete all forms, records and documents recording aircraft maintenance activities IAW DA PAM 738-751. Applicable technical publications, local policies, and procedures 
• May be requested to perform rated and non rated crew member duties to facilitate completion of maintenance activities such as maintenance test flight, maintenance operational checks, operation of diagnostic equipment during ground and flight 
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or team lead
