Job Responsibilities:
- Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work
- Inspect, troubleshoot, service and maintain less complex and routine aircraft systems, components and related aerospace equipment
- Perform simple aircraft and component inspections to ensure they are working properly. Interpret inspection findings and detaine adequacy of corrective actions
- Assist with the inspection and identification of aircraft corrosion in order to repair it and identify reasons for the damage for future prevention purposes
- Conduct routine functional tests of components and systems to ensure they have been repaired properly and problems have been addressed
- Service assigned aircraft to support the efficient use aircraft
- Operate and maintain arresting gear and associated mechanical, hydraulic and control systems involved primarily in aircraft carrier take-off and landing operations
- Test and maintain launch and recovery equipment to ensure they are working appropriately
- Maintains logs of airplane launches, recoveries and equipment maintenance
- Perform inspections on aircraft before launch and after recovery and provide signoff on flyable condition when all airworthiness requirements are met
- Operate all Ground Support Equipment as required to service aircraft while on ground
- Assist with identifying maintenance and troubleshooting requirements during aircraft recovery
- Assist with the preparation of statements and reports timely and accurate6to meet GAL and departmental requirements, policies and standards
- Record maintenance and repair information on data collection forma and automated system to ensure all needed data is capture and recorded
- Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes standard operating procedures and instructions that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Perform other related duties or assignments as directed
