About the Role:

Qatar Airways is seeking a dedicated and skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This role is integral to supporting the operational requirements of the airline by delivering high-quality aircraft maintenance services. As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will ensure that all maintenance tasks and related activities are conducted in accordance with company procedures and the supplied aircraft maintenance data. This role demands a keen eye for detail, precision, and adherence to the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Aircraft Mechanic at Qatar Airways, your primary duties will include:

• Conducting Inspections and Tests: Perform thorough tests and inspections of aircraft systems to assess their quality and performance, ensuring safety and functionality.
• Aircraft System Adjustments: Utilize hand tools, gauges, and test equipment to calibrate and adjust various aircraft systems.
• Engine and Component Inspections: Examine engines and other key aircraft components for damage, cracks, leaks, and wear. Inspect parts for signs of defects or warping.
• Parts Assembly and Installation: Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components, ensuring proper functionality.
• Servicing and Maintenance: Service aircraft by cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking the brakes to ensure optimal operation.
• Repairs and Rebuilding: Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures and parts, including wings, fuselage, rigging, and hydraulic units.
• Engine Testing: Use specialized testing equipment to evaluate engine performance and diagnose malfunctions by listening for irregular engine sounds.
• Engine Removal and Installation: Safely remove and install engines using hoists or forklifts, ensuring that all safety procedures are followed.
• Aircraft Modifications: Modify aircraft structures, systems, or components as per technical publications, engineering orders, and drawings to ensure compliance with operational standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be considered for the Aircraft Mechanic role, you must meet the following qualifications and experience requirements:

• Education: High School Qualification, Vocational Qualification, or Diploma (based on role) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least 2 years of job-related experience.
• Experience: Proven track record in aircraft maintenance with experience in similar roles within a professional aviation environment.
