Aircraft Technician – Base Maintenance Job Responsibilities

• Assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers and Approved Technicians in diagnosing technical issues, performing repairs, modifications, and completing maintenance tasks according to approved job cards while minimising aircraft downtime.

• Prepare maintenance work efficiently based on aircraft status, report defects promptly, and provide clear shift handovers to ensure smooth operational continuity.

• Maintain a clean, organised, and Foreign Object Debris (FOD)-free work environment while conducting regular inspections of tools, equipment, vehicles, and toolboxes in compliance with airport and company safety regulations.

• Follow all airport operational requirements, including holding a valid Airport Driving Permit where required and complying with manoeuvring area safety procedures.

• Collaborate with team members to achieve maintenance objectives, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to operational excellence.

• Apply technical knowledge and practical experience to support aircraft repair projects, maintenance planning, resource allocation, and departmental initiatives using approved maintenance management systems whenever required.
