Job Purpose:

The Aircraft Technician plays a crucial role in performing maintenance tasks on Emirates and third-party aircraft and components, adhering to established procedures and regulations. Working under the guidance of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, the Aircraft Technician contributes to various trade disciplines and ensures the highest standards of safety and compliance.

Job Accountability:

Execute routine aircraft/engine/component servicing and maintenance in compliance with manufacturers' procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols for fluid replenishment, aircraft refueling, and system charging/servicing.

Conduct component replacements and other maintenance activities as directed by the immediate supervisor, referencing Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), or other approved documentation.

Assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers in Walkaround Checks, troubleshooting, defect rectifications, and modifications as per job card instructions.

Promote a safety culture to minimize accidents, highlighting deficiencies and ensuring clean and safe work environments.

Maintain awareness of airport safety regulations, holding and maintaining an airport driving permit, and complying with manoeuvring area requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

National/Higher National Diploma (12+2 or equivalent) or Apprenticeship in Mechanical, Electronic, Avionics, or Aeronautical Engineering.

5+ years post-basic training in Aircraft Maintenance environment or 5+ years experience in Structures or Component Maintenance for the applicable workshop.

Knowledge/Skills:

In-depth knowledge and skills gained from 5+ years of post-basic training in an Aircraft Maintenance environment or Structures/Component Maintenance.

Familiarity with airport safety regulations, including the ability to hold and maintain an airport driving permit.
