Job Purpose

As a B2 Technician, you'll work closely with Engineers to perform Avionics Maintenance tasks on various aircraft, handling inspections, repairs, and component replacements. Your goal is to ensure all work is conducted up to the highest standards, complying with both Air Arabia's requirements and aviation regulations.

Key Result Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

1. Begin each task by reviewing it with the Engineer-in-Charge to fully understand the work, priorities, and documentation requirements.
2. Prepare and execute scheduled aircraft maintenance tasks, ensuring you have all the necessary documentation, parts, tools, and GSE (Ground Support Equipment).
3. Conduct thorough aircraft tests and inspections to identify and record any defects or damage, adhering to approved maintenance procedures.
4. Execute repairs, component replacements, and tests as instructed, following approved data and procedures under the Engineer-in-Charge's guidance.
5. Maintain and return all tools and equipment in good condition after completing your tasks.
6. Keep the Engineer-in-Charge updated on task status and promptly report any issues with the aircraft or work execution.
7. Prioritize housekeeping standards in all tasks.

Safety

1. Prioritize safety for yourself and others by following all mandatory precautions before and during task execution.
2. Use proper GSE and protective equipment to prevent injuries during maintenance activities.
3. Pay attention to human factors, ensuring you follow work interruption procedures and use adequate access and lighting for maintenance and inspections.

Reputation and Teamwork

1. Offer support and helpful information to your team and other department personnel involved in scheduled maintenance checks.
2. Represent Air Arabia with professionalism when interacting with personnel from other companies and Air Arabia customers.

Cost Awareness

Be cost-conscious regarding aircraft maintenance, including time and material usage.

Minimize waste by avoiding unnecessary damage and repeat work during maintenance.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

1. Academic qualifications as a qualified and experienced Civil Aircraft Maintenance Technician.
2. Strong English language skills for effective technical communication.
3. A solid understanding of Avionics maintenance theory and practice.
4. The ability to obtain a UAE Driver's License.

Work Experience

For external applicants, the following experience is essential:

1. At least 2 years of experience performing maintenance on large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus types.
2. At least 2 years of experience in a Base Maintenance environment.
3. Profound knowledge and experience in Avionics Maintenance.
4. Competence in using specialized Avionics test equipment, computers, and software tools.
