AIESL is a fully owned subsidiary of AI Asset Holding Company limited and is a Public Sector Undertaking of Government of India. AIESL is the largest MRO in the aviation industry of India. AIESL manages and maintains Airbus, Boeing & ATR's fleet with highest degree of the Technical Dispatch Reliability, with its major maintenance hangars and bases located at all the major metros. The company has state of the art capabilities for Overhaul and Maintenance of Aircraft and its components. AIESL being the subsidiary of erstwhile Air India Limited continues to provide its maintenance services to the prime customer Air India (now a private business entity). However as an independent MRO AIESL has embarked on business growth strategy through extensive marketing and brand building for capturing MRO service requirements of other aviation operators. AIESL employs around 5000 skilled workers including Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and Aircraft Technicians.
AIESL invites applications from Indian Nationals fulfilling the requirements as on 1st Feb 2023 for the posts of Aircraft Technicians (A&C and Avionics) from the open market on Fixed Term Employment basis.
1. Number of Vacancies:
Total estimated present and future Vacancies are as follows, which may, however, vary depending upon change of situation/ workload and actual requirement of AIESL.
Distribution of vacancies:
Aircraft Technician (Total) = 90
B1 = 70
B2 = 20
Reservation and concessions/relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen candidate would be as per Government Directives in this regard.
2. Eligibility Criteria as on 1st Feb 2023:
Diploma in Engineering (3Years) in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation/ Electronics and Telecommunication/ Radio Engineering or equivalent recognized by Central/State Government with 60% marks/equivalent grade(55% or equivalent grade for SC/ST/OBC candidates). (Engineering Degree holders in the above mentioned streams or Aeronautical Engineering may also be considered)

AME Diploma/Certificates in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering from institutions approved by DGCA under Rule 133 B with 60%" marks/equivalent grade (55% or equivalent grade for SC/ST/OBC candidates).Candidates from DGCA Approved AME Training Institute as per current list who are eligible.
(Or)
For Ex-servicemen
Successful completion of Group I related equivalent qualification of Diploma in Engineering for Airframe/Engine/Electrical/Instrument/Radio trades conducted by the Indian Air force, which are acceptable as qualification by DGCA for fulfilling the eligibility requirement for BAMEL examination.
(Or)
Successful Completion of 4 years course/ Diploma in Aircraft/ Electrical/ Instrument/ Radio Artificer training, conducted by Indian Navy, which are acceptable as qualification by DGCA for fulfilling the eligibility requirement for BAMEL examination.
The candidates must have at-least 01 year Aviation experience on Wide-body/Narrow-body Aircraft Maintenance.
The candidates holding RTR license will be preferred.
3. Age Limit:
General Category- Notabove 37 yrs. as on 1st Feb 2023. OBC- Not above 40 yrs. as on 1st Feb 2023.
SC/ST- Not above 42 yrs. as on 1st Feb 2023.
Ex-Servicemen- Upper age limit of 37 yrs. would be relaxed to the extent the candidate has served in regular post in Army/Navy/Air force before retirement/release or discharge from such post plus three years.
EMOLUMENTS:
Emoluments will be as per approved salary structure for Technician and will be approximately between Rs. 28,000/ to Rs. 36,000/ Per Month. The Emoluments will commensurate with the years of experience as per the company policy.
PERIOD OF CONTRACT:
Fixed term contract initially for a period of 5 years, extendable for further 5 years period at a time as per the requirements of the company and performance of the candidate.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
Selection would be done on:
Interview
Pre-employment Medical Examination.
Candidates will have to bear the cost of the Pre-Employment Medical Examination(s), if may selected and offered appointed.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
a) The vacancies put forth in this notification are indicative, which may decrease/ increase depending upon the work requirements of the company.
b) Management reserve all right to take any decision with regard to conduct of this exercise including interpretation of eligibility, deferment/ cancellation of this exercise and/or delete/alter any of the condition of this exercise, if so necessitated.
c) Candidates found suitable and shortlisted will be engaged on fixed-term contract basis for a period of 05 years. The contract may be terminated at the discretion of the Management during the tenure of the contract and/or in the event of unsatisfactory performance.
d) The contract is extendable for further term of 5 years and upon satisfactory performance of the candidate and requirement of the company.
e) The candidates will be positioned at THIRUVANANTHAPURAM or to any other AIESL stations as per the requirement of the company. The job is transferable to any station in India, based on Company's requirement.
f) The candidates will have to make their own arrangement for housing accommodation at the place of posting.
g) The Company, at its discretion, may assign additional duties as and when required.
h) SC/ST candidates who reporting for Walk-in Interview and residing beyond 80 krns. from the Walk-in Interview and not employed in any Government, Semi-Government / Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous Bodies, will be reimbursed second class to & fro rail / bus fare by the shortest route as per rules. on production of document of travel.
i) Candidates must ensure that they fulfill all the laid down procedure eligibility criteria, prescribed for the post
before reporting for Interview.
j) At any stage of the selection process, if it is found that the particulars furnished by the candidate in the Application Form or testimonials are incorrect / false or the candidate does not meet the Eligibility Criteria prescribed for the post, or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her application shall be summarily rejected without making any further reference.
k) Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidate or bringing in any outside influence with regard to further the selection of the candidate shall be considered us a DISQUALIFTCATION.

The candidates may be required to stay back at Trivandrum for the interview in case of reporting of large number of candidates further incased of reporting of very large number of candidate the interview may be spread over subsequent dates one day extra so required depending upon the no of candidates appearing for interview.
a) The Applications of the candidates would be scrutinized and prima-facie, after scrutiny if they found eligible then only they will be allowed for interview.
b) A recent (not more than three months old) colored passport-size photograph of the full face (front view) should be pasted neatly in the space provided in the Application Form.
c) The candidates belonging to OBC categories, at the time.; of interview, must submit a self-attested photocopy of the Non-Creamy Certificate, recently issued by the Competent Authority, in the format as prescribed by Govt. of India. The Certificate. inter alia. Must specifically stale that the candidate does not belong to socially advanced sections excluded from the benefits of reservations for OBC in civil posts and services under the Government of India. The Certificate should also contain the "Non-Creamy Layer" Clause. The Certificate produced by the candidates of OBC community should be as per the Central List published by the Government of India and not as per the State Lists.
d) Applicants ordinarily domiciled in Kashmir Division of J & K State during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 who are eligible for the upper age relaxation, must produce the Domicile Certificate to this effect at the time of Interview from the District Magistrate in the Kashmir Division, with in whose jurisdiction the applicant had ordinarily resided or any other authority designated in this regard by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir.
