About the role

We are recruiting for Aircraft Mechanic - Engine shop to be based in Doha, Qatar.

Aircraft Mechanic - Engine shop will ensure that all scheduled and unscheduled requirement on borescope tasks, spare engines/APU task such as engine build up, receiving inspection, dispatch inspection, cannibalization of engine parts on AOG situation, spare engine storage and tool housekeeping with in engine facility is performed to the highest possible maintenance standards.

About you

The successful candidate will have the following skill and qualifications.

Qualifications and Experience:

Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or Degree (B.Eng, BSc) or equivalent in aircraft engineering.

Qatar Airways fleet engine Type Engine maintenance experience.

Airbus and Boeing documentation experience.

Engine Module/ Removal Bore scope support experience.

Engine shop experience will be additional benefits.

Specific responsibilities of the role include:

Performing maintenance task such as inspection, component replacements, servicing, QEC build up, modifications, minor repair of engines and APU as directed by a licenced Engineer or lead mechanic.

Adhering to all pertinent safety precautions as published in manufactures and company relevant publications on all tasks in relation to the Accomplishment of scheduled, unscheduled Borescope inspections and engine build up tasks.

Responsible for a quick Engine change build up to ensure availability of ready for installation Power plant to support aircraft operation.

Responsible for a quick Engine change build up to ensure availability of ready for installation Power plant to support aircraft operation.

Responsible for engine Fan case Split/ mate to support hot spare availability.

Ensure Engine Module R/I within company capability register.

Responsible for the safekeeping of tool kits allotted to him and the section.

Responsible for Aircraft on Ground recovery in out station.
